Choosing a Dog Food:

 

The Paw Spa's "Dogma" is that all pets should be healthy and happy.  Their love is unconditional, so as responsible pet owners, we should offer them the best quality of life we can afford them.  This starts with the foods we feed them.  We believe that dogs and cats deserve to eat pure, simple, minimally processed foods – the way nature intended.  We consistently seek out the best quality foods and supplements we can find.  We do our homework on the brands and their processes, to ensure we offer only the best for your pet.  

 

A balanced, raw, diet is the best food you can feed your pet.  Raw means the food is unadulterated and  still contains all the enzymes and nutrients that are typically destroyed during cooking or other types of processing.  This food has been proven to be nutritionally complete and "balanced" for all life stages.  Owners and veterinarians tell us a raw diet has helped improve appetite and digestion, healthy skin and coat, stamina and vitality, and helps support a healthy immune system.  These foods are found in our freezer section at The Paw Spa, and they include Stella and Chewy's, Small Batch, Primal, Vital Essentials, Answers, and many more.   Many of these are also offered in a Freeze Dried version, such as Grandma Lucy's, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, The Honest Kitchen, Steve's Real Food for Dogs, Small Batch, Vital Essentials, Sojo's, and more.

Next we would recommend a premium grade, canned or dry food.  We offer several varieties of each, and all meet the basic nutritional needs of your pet.  When you are in a hurry or maybe you are on a budget, these foods offer a great alternative.  Our brands are far more balanced and complete than the grocery store kibble that tends to offer very little in the way of nutrition for your pet.  These foods typically "cook out" the very ingredients your pet needs most.  At The Paw Spa you'll find reputable brands such as Taste of the Wild, NutriSource, Orijen, Acana, Fromm, PetCurean, Canidae, Diamond, Open Farm, Weruva, Pure Vita, and more.

CUSTOMER NOTICE :

Like many businesses, we are encountering occasional shortages of staff.  Please note that our grooming times are running a bit longer than normal.   We are doing our best to accommodate everyone as quickly as we can, while still providing the great service we are known for.

   

When you book your appointment,  it's most likely several weeks in advance.  During that time we understand things can change.  But it is important that you let us know as soon as possible if you need to make a change or cancel.   When you book your appointment with us, that time slot is set aside specifically for your pet /or pets.  If you show up late or not at all,  that time period goes unused as it was intended for your pet.   A phone call (at least 24 hours in advance) to let us know you need to make a change / or cancel, allows us time to re-book your time slot with another customer and make the best use of our groomers time.   We do have a Cancellation Policy, which you can learn more about from the link in our home page header.    

We utilize an automated text messaging system to confirm appointments with you.  When booking an appointment, please make sure we have your correct phone number on file (and that you can receive text messages)  so you are able to respond to these texts.  Text confirmations are sent out well in advance of your appointment, allowing you time to confirm OR make a change if need be.  If we don't receive a confirmation, or aren't able to get a reply, please note we may - at our discretion - cancel your appointment and re-book another customer in your time slot.   If you prefer another method to confirm your appointments, please let us know - we are happy to help.
